Background and Security Clearance: The Palm Springs Police Training Center and the International School of Tactical Medicine may conduct a background check on all applicants. This will include but is not limited to a state and U.S. computer search of public records and Law Enforcement databases for possible past and current criminal history.
Tuition: When you submit your registration materials you must include full payment plus the cost of your ammunition if requested to secure your seat in the class. No application and registration will be processed without full payment. Classes historically fill about 90 days prior to class dates with the formation of a waiting list. Therefore early planning & registration is highly recommended.

We can submit an invoice to your agency if you wish to pay by agency purchase order. Please email us the PO number and contact information. We also can accept VISA and Mastercard, as well as government issued credit cards.
We are a registered trading partner with the Federal Government, and are authorized to accept contracts from all agencies and branches of the U.S. Military.

Ammunition Requirements:
Students will need the following quantity of ammunition for participation in the training:
Module A: 100 rounds handgun, 350 rounds subgun
Module B: 100 rounds handgun, 350 rounds subgun
Note (Please Read Carefully): Unfortunately, due to the current political and economic climate ammunition is in short and unpredictable supply nationwide. Until the situation changes we can no longer guarantee that we can provide student ammunition for purchase at the school. Be prepared to provide you own ammunition during these difficult times.
In addition, we can not guarantee ammunition prices listed on the student registration form. These prices are an estimate only and are subject to change without notice, even if you have prepaid for your ammunition. Please contact our administrative office to check for ammunition availability and prices when you submit your student registration form. We will however provide ammunition for purchase by the international students who attend the training program.
No hand loads, lead, or remanufactured ammunition may be used at the school. If you have any questions regarding ammunition requirements or the firearms training portion at the school please contact us via email or phone.
Hotel Reservations: As soon as you have submitted your Registration form be sure to make your Hotel Reservations to ensure you have accomodations while training in Palm Springs. Visit the Hotels and Travel page for details.

Cancellation Policy
Seats in each class are assigned in order of the time the application and tuition is received. Cancellations made 30 days before class start dates will result in a refund minus a $400 cancellation fee. If cancellations are made after 30 days before class start dates there are no refunds and the tuition will be applied to the next class.
