The International School of Tactical Medicine Utility Knife is the Kit Carson designed M16-13Z. This knife features contoured handles of 6061 T6 hard anodized charcoal gray aluminum with a perimeter radius for a comfortable grip. It has a stainless steel locking liner with friction grooves for positive locking with limited access and superior safety. The blade is AUS 8 stainless steel blade and titanium nitride coated for edge retention and durability, in non-reflective frost finish. This knife features Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges for rugged cutting tasks. The M16-13Z has a slim profile design that is ideal for a variety of carry positions. It features a spear point blade with a false grind on the top edge. One-hand opening and closing is velvet smooth, the result of Teflon® bearings at the blade pivot. The ambidextrous thumb studs with checkered surface provide instant access in any circumstance. It also features a Teflon-plated stainless steel clothing and gear clip. Each knife has the International School of Tactical Medicine logo laser engraved on the left side of the blade.
